“The 2019 Chardonnay H. Klopp Vineyard is the third harvest from these Wente and Mt Eden clone vines. Matured 17 months in 25% new oak, it has pretty aromas of crème fraîche, lemon peel and graphite with a slowly emerging honeysuckle and beeswax character. The light-bodied palate offers an appealing, waxy texture foiled by tangy acidity. It has pure, concentrated lemon drop flavors, with a saline character lingering on the extended finish.
